Most Popular Baby Names for 2017

Greenslopes Private Hospital has released its Most Popular Baby Names list for 2017!
More than 1,000 babies who were born at the hotel-style Maternity Ward during the year were given a wide variety of names ranging from traditional to modern.
Olivia was the most popular girl’s name, followed by Zara, Zoe, Addison and Ava. Parents also opted for female names such as Amelia (or Emilia), Charlotte, Matilda and Chloe.
For the boys, there was a four-way tie for first place between Harrison, Henry, Oliver and William. Other popular male names included Liam, Charlie, Jacob and Thomas.
