Beattie opens new Greenslopes Plastic Surgery

Premier Peter Beattie will officially open the new state-of-the-art Greenslopes Plastic Surgery at Greenslopes Private Hospital on Saturday 20 August, 2005.

The addition of this facility will complement the range of plastic and reconstructive surgery already offered by Australia’s largest private hospital.

Services include facial rejuvenation, breast surgery, body contouring, skin cancer care and maxillofacial surgery.

Head of Plastic Surgery at Greenslopes Private Hospital, Dr Hugh Bartholomeusz said the availability of the full range of services will benefit the local community.

“For example, easier access to skin cancer care and mole screening services onsite at Greenslopes Private may result in earlier detection and prevention of melanoma and other skin cancers,” Dr Bartholomeusz said.

Greenslopes Plastic Surgery is equipped with the latest technology in skin cancer surveillance. By digitally recording images of skin spots an accurate assessment of progress of each spot can be conducted at regular scanning intervals.

All excisional surgery will be performed by one of our Qualified Specialist Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons including Doctors Neil Allen, Hugh Bartholemeusz, David Campbell and Richard Lewandowski.
