Ramsay Health Plus: growing allied health services

May 08, 2018

People will soon have access to a range of quality allied health services at Greenslopes Private Hospital, without having to be an admitted patient.

The outpatient service, called Ramsay Health Plus, will commence in July 2018 and offer:

• Dietetics
• Exercise physiology
• Occupational therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Psychology
• Speech pathology

RHP is a community-focused health and wellbeing service provider which is designed to improve the continuity of care for patients.

RHP will offer services from consulting rooms in the Specialty Clinics area, on the Ground Floor of the Administration Building. Some exercise-based services will be offered from the onsite Wellness Centre, making use of the extensive gymnasium equipment available in that facility.

Specialised services offered by RHP will include:

• Exercise therapy
• Counselling and nutrition advice for cancer patients
• Lymphoedema and vascular oedema management
• Management of enteral feeds post-discharge from Greenslopes Private Hospital
• Neurological rehabilitation and driving assessments

Allied Health Manager, Marie Duffy, said offering these specialised services will allow Greenslopes Private Hospital to meet the specific needs of patients and fill service gaps that have been identified in the local area.

“We are really pleased to be announcing the start of Ramsay Health Plus. We want to continue focusing on patients within our hospital, while also extending our service offering to people beyond our walls.”

RHP has already been implemented at more than 15 Ramsay Health Care sites in Australia.
