Greenslopes asks... A conversation could change a life. On 8 August, Greenslopes received a yellow question mark from the R U OK? campaign, the purpose of which is to serve as a conversation starter; to get people asking one another if they’re ok. Greenslopes was in possession of the question mark for one day before passing it on to Pindara Private Hospital, and then to more hospitals throughout Queensland. The question mark was equipped with GPS tracking so we could see just how far our message was spread in the campaign for suicide prevention. While the question mark was at Greenslopes it visited staff, patients and visitors from all around the hospital. The question mark journeyed to board meetings, operating rooms, the emergency centre, the special care nursery and many more places, starting conversations and spreading R U OK? Day’s important message. For more information about R U OK? Day and Greenslopes’ role in the campaign, as well as more photos of our hospital community with the question mark, visit www.ruokday.com or www.facebook.com/ruokday RUOK? Day is held annually in September. While the question mark was at Greenslopes it visited staff, patients and visitors from all around the hospital. This year, Ramsay Health Care’s participation in R U OK? Day was on a bigger scale than ever before, and it all started here at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
