What’s new at Greenslopes Maternity Greenslope s Mat er nit y Well Baby Clinic For babies from 1–6 weeks 6 GPHnews Our new maternity service at Greenslopes has been open for over six months now, and in that time we have delivered almost 400 babies in the first six months and taken close to 800 bookings. We’re both proud and humbled that our Greenslopes Maternity community continues to grow. As part of our comprehensive maternity service, we’ve recently opened a Well Baby Clinic to provide additional support and assistance to mothers, as well as to monitor the progress of their babies following discharge. The Well Baby Clinic is run by our experienced midwives and lactation consultants who are able to assist with general advice about infant care and nutrition, infant growth and development assessment, and a full range of support with infant feeding. In June, Greenslopes Maternity participated in the 2013 Pregnancy, Babies and Children’s Expo at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre. Over three full days, parents and parents-to-be took the opportunity to visit our team of obstetricians, paediatricians and midwives, who were on site to answer their questions about Brisbane’s newest maternity service. We were also delighted to see some of our very first GPH mums and dads popping in to say hello with their new bubs.
