Before Your Stay

Once your pregnancy has been confirmed by your GP, you will need to arrange an appointment with one of our highly sought-after Obstetricians accredited to Greenslopes Private Hospital.

Choose your Obstetrician >

Once your appointment has been booked, you will need to complete our online booking registration form.

Our pre-admission process is an important part of your hospital stay and we aim to make it as easy as possible to provide us with all the information we need to confirm your admission and finalise the terms of your stay.

You’ll need the following information handy when you fill in your form:

  • Personal/Next of Kin details
  • Medicare card number
  • Funding details (eg. Private Health Insurance or self funding)
  • Relevant item numbers if these were provided by your doctor’s rooms
  • Your obstetrician’s name. To complete the form without the name of your obstetrician please enter “To Be Confirmed” in this field.

You will receive an automatic email reply to confirm that your online registration has been received. One of our team will then call you in due course.

Private Health Insurance

If you have private health insurance it is important to check a few things with your insurer prior to your admission such as your level of cover, automatic cover for your new baby and any excesses required to be paid before admission. These questions are particularly important if you have been a member of your health fund for less than 12 months.

It is important to note that the confirmation of your private health fund details is your responsibility as a patient.
