$47 million development starts at Greenslopes Private Hospital

Ramsay Health Care Managing Director, Chris Rex, joined with Cr Ian McKenzie, Councillor for Holland Park Ward on 30 November 2011 to turn the first sod on a $47 million development at Greenslopes Private Hospital.

The development will be the third major development since Ramsay Health Care took over the hospital in 1995 and will support the expansion of existing services as well as the introduction of a new obstetrics service. Construction work has now commenced with the development expected to be completed by early 2013.  
Features of the development will include:
A new obstetrics service including:

• 26 bed maternity ward with all private single rooms with ensuite
• 16 special care and night nursery cots
• Capacity for eight delivery suites

Expansion of surgical services:

• Four additional theatres
• 32 bed patient accommodation – all single rooms with ensuite
• Shell for an additional 32 bed patient accommodation
