Veteran Services

Whilst the expansion of the facilities and services at Greenslopes Private Hospital has been a priority since the takeover by Ramsay Health Care in 1995, every effort has been and is being made to continue to provide first class health care to the veteran community and retain the unique veteran history.

Special places in the Hospital grounds such as the Chapel, and the Peace Grove have been retained. As a special tribute to Anzacs, the Hospital has built an Anzac Memorial where, on Anzac Day each year, a Dawn Ceremony of Remembrance is held in their honour.

Veterans Relations
Greenslopes Private Hospital is proud to have a relationship with many of the veteran organisations and support groups throughout Queensland including:

• Returned and Services League of Australia
• Incapacitated Servicemen & Women's Association Of Australia
• Naval Association of Queensland
• Ex-Prisoner of War Association
• Brisbane Legacy
• Totally and Permanently Incapacitated Veterans Association
• South Eastern District RSL Welfare Office
• Sherwood Indooroopilly RSL

Each of these groups are invited to participate in the hospital’s Ex Service Organisation Committee which meets several times a year. This forum is an opportunity to communicate improvements or issues in relation to the delivery of service to the veteran community

Veteran Liaison Officer
Veteran patients are able to access the Veteran Liaison Officer who can act as a single point of contact for patients/carers with regard to any issues or concerns that they may have. The Veteran Liaison Officer will refer the matter to the appropriate person. The Casemix Business Manager is the designated Veteran Liaison Officer for Greenslopes Private Hospital and can be contacted on (07) 3394 7643.
