Greenslopes Private Hospital has been a teaching hospital for more than 40 years. As Australia’s largest private teaching hospital it is well recognised as a leader in teaching and research with an emphasis on both undergraduate and postgraduate training of the future medical and nursing workforce.

For many years the University of Queensland (UQ) has operated a medical school at Greenslopes Private Hospital with several of our Visiting Medical Officers having appointments with UQ.

The current expansion of the UQ Clinical School facilities will see Greenslopes as the only private hospital in Australia to boast a fully fledged clinical school and will enable the numbers of medical and nursing students based on campus to be increased.
