Florence Syer Unit

The Florence Syer Unit is a 30 bed subacute unit intended for patients who are past the acute stage of their illness, but are not ready to go home; are awaiting hostel or nursing home placement; or have not got access to social support or carers. These patients will be admitted to the Florence Syer Unit to continue their convalescence until such time as they are ready to return home or to be discharged to a nursing home or hostel.
