Caesarean Section Classes

We have developed a specific Caesarean Section class for women, as well as their partner/support person, who are booked for an elective Caesarean and may not wish to attend a full series of antenatal classes. These classes are only run if minimum numbers are met.

Class Content

• Caesarean - the procedure and recovery, followed by a tour of the Maternity Unit
• Breastfeeding & Parenting and the newborn

Schedule of Class

A dedicated Elective Caesarean class is held monthly. This evening session will be held between 6.00pm-9.00pm with a light supper provided.

Please book the required classes as soon as possible to ensure your preferred placement by calling Maternity Reception on 07 3394 7859. Class numbers are restricted to maintain a personal and conducive teaching environment.
