Caesarean Section Classes

We have developed a comprehensive Caesarean Section class for women and their partner or support person, who are booked for an elective Caesarean and may not wish to attend a full series of antenatal classes. However, these classes are only run if minimum numbers are met.

What’s covered in the class:

• We will explain and walk you through the Caesarean procedure as well as what you may expect during the recovery, followed by a tour of the Maternity Unit.
• We will also cover breastfeeding, what your first few weeks may look like with a newborn and how you can all thrive.

Schedule of Class

A dedicated Elective Caesarean class is held monthly when minimum numbers are met.

Evening sessions will be held between 6.00pm-9.00pm with a light supper provided.
