Childbirth Education Classes

Our Childbirth Education classes are run by our experienced midwives, who will help to empower pregnant women and their partner or support person attending the class. These classes give you the opportunity to learn more about what to expect during pregnancy, labour, birth, breastfeeding and caring for your new baby at home. We also believe it’s important to feel comfortable in your environment and where you will give birth which is why all our classes include a tour of the maternity ward.

What’s covered in the class:

• Pregnancy advice and coming to hospital
• Labour and birth
• Management of pain and unexpected outcomes
• Breastfeeding
• Parenting and the newborn

Class Day/Time

• Saturday all day class – one (1) all day class from 8.30am-4.30pm. Lunch will be provided.

Please book your preferred class as soon as possible so you don’t miss out as we limit class numbers to ensure a personal and conducive teaching environment. These classes are for those who are having a natural birth, and are not booked in for an elective caesarean.
