Maternity

New mothers have access to the highest standards of care and hotel-like comfort at Greenslopes Private Hospital’s maternity ward, which opened in 2013. There are 26 single rooms fitted out with flat screen TVs, coffee machines and modern ensuites, four birth suites with two additional shells for later expansion, and 16 special care and night nursery cots. The Special Care Nursery has skilled midwives and neonatal nurses staffed around-the-clock, supported by paediatricians and neonatologists.

Greenslopes Private Hospital has a 20 year history of offering high quality treatment options for a broad range of gynaecological conditions – from adenomyosis and endometriosis to cervical and ovarian cancers.

Leading the way

Greenslopes Private Hospital is proud to offer the latest treatments and techniques to its patients. Women requiring hysterectomies and sacrocolpopexies can now opt for start-of-the-art minimally invasive surgeries using the revolutionary da Vinci Xi® robot. The system allows surgeons to operate through a few small incisions rather than one large open incision, and offers benefits to patients including less pain and quicker recovery.

We were one of the first hospitals in Queensland to offer robotic hysterectomies, and successfully hosted the first single site robotic hysterectomy in the state.

Greenslopes Private Hospital also houses Assisted Conception Australia, which was the first Queensland clinic to have an Embryoscope, allowing embryos to be grown in a microenvironment with reduced toxins to optimise conditions.
