Interests: Breast cancer, oncoplastic breast surgery, breast reconstruction, benign breast disease, risk reduction strategies for patients at high risk of developing breast cancer, thyroid surgery and parathyroid surgery and general surgery

Dr Ben Lancashire is a General Surgeon with interests in oncoplastic breast, and endocrine surgery. Born and raised in Brisbane, he completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland. Dr Lancashire went on to study Medicine at the University of Queensland where he graduated with Honours.

During his training, Dr Lancashire won the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Neville Davis Research Prize. After completing his training as a general surgeon, Dr Lancashire undertook a further two years of training in oncoplastic and reconstructive breast surgery and endocrine surgery. He has interests in oncoplastic breast cancer surgery, thyroid surgery and parathyroid surgery.

Dr Lancashire is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), a member of Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), the Australasian Society for Breast Disease (ASBD), the Australian & New Zealand Endocrine Surgeons (AES) and General Surgeons Australia (GSA). He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Dr Lancashire is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and Griffith University, and an Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University. He is currently completing a Master of Advanced Breast Surgery with the University of Sydney.

Dr Lancashire has both public and private hospital visiting appointments and is a visiting surgeon with BreastScreen Queensland.
