Dr Che-yung (Jeff) Chao graduated from the University of Otago in New Zealand and subsequently undertaken his physician training in Queensland, predominantly at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Upon completion of his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, he undertook the Advanced Inflammatory Bowel Disease fellowship at McGill University in Montreal Canada.
He is currently working as a staff specialist at the Princess Alexandra hospital with interests in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Chao has also published original research in multiple international peer-reviewed medical journals and is involved with international clinical trials on advanced biologic therapy.
Dr Chao provides clinical management for a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and performs diagnostic and therapeutic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
