Dr Gogna completed her medical training in Dublin, Ireland attaining her medical degree with honours in 2009. She then completed her FRACP/FAChPM training in palliative care medicine in 2018 in Queensland. This has provided her with the skills to manage patients’ with both malignant and non-malignant disease processes. Dr Gogna is passionate about providing holistic care for patients in both the community and inpatient setting.
Dr Gogna is a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland and has a passion for ongoing education. She is widely published and has an ongoing interest in quality assurance and education at all levels.
Dr Gogna has an ongoing interest in early integration of palliative care into patient care to provide holistic care for patients’ with serious disease, and manage their often complex symptoms. This allows for ongoing treatment to extend overall survival and improve quality of life. She is also focused on early advance care planning to facilitate maintaining patient autonomy and informed decision making.
