Associate Professor Terence Chua, BScMed (Hons) MBBS PhD MRCS (Ed) FRACS; is a General Surgeon. A/Prof Chua studied medicine and surgery at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) graduating with a double degree in Bachelor of Science in Medicine (BScMed) with 1st Class Honors, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS). He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) by the University of New South Wales (UNSW) for his research into colorectal cancer surgery with his academic excellence being recognized by honor on the Dean’s List. He has over 200 peer-reviewed publications in high impact factor surgical journals with expertise in general and colorectal surgery.

A/Prof Terence Chua trained in surgery in Sydney. He has developed a unique skill set of technical capabilities from being closely mentored by pre-eminent surgeons in the field of cancer surgery, colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery and thyroid surgery. He attained further qualifications with Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and also holds Membership from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, United Kingdom (MRCS Ed).

A/Prof Chua has a broad interest in all aspects of general and colorectal surgery, and is GESA-accredited endoscopy and colonoscopy. He provides patients with an individualised patient-centred care to achieve the best treatment outcomes.
