Interest: General surgery with a focus on gallbladder, hernias, spleen and adrenal, anti-reflux surgery, bowel surgery, endoscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Jimmy Tee is a Queensland-trained General Surgeon specialising in hernia repair, gallbladder disease, bowel surgery, hiatus hernia, and adrenal surgery. He completed his MBBS at UQ in 2011 and obtained FRACS in 2020. He trained in liver and kidney transplant surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital and completed an HPB Surgery Fellowship at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.

As Director of Surgery at Redcliffe Hospital, he led Queensland’s first Rapid Access Service for post-operative surgical patients, now known as PODSS, expanding across multiple hospitals. He offers both elective and emergency general surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures. His patient-centred approach prioritises enhanced surgical outcomes, faster recovery times, and high patient satisfaction. Passionate about education, he mentors junior doctors and shares insights on surgical performance.

JImmy is fluent in English and Mandarin. 

In his free time he is an avid runner, valuing endurance and resilience in both surgery and life.
