Dr Emad Abro graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 and completed his specialist training in haematology at the Princess Alexandra and Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospitals. He is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.
Dr Abro practises from Greenslopes Private Hospital and is also a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. He remains actively engaged in blood cancer research.
He has clinical interests in myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia, and in non-malignant Haematology such as venous thromboembolism, anaemia, and cytopenias. His clinical approach is orientated towards patient care and maintaining strong clinical ties with general practitioners.
