QNeurology is a Brisbane based neurology service being provided by neurologist Dr Nabeel Sheikh with any necessary hospital-based care delivered at the Greenslopes Private Hospital.
Dr Nabeel Sheikh is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He gained his Neurology training in Queensland at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s and the Gold Coast University Hospitals. Currently, he is a Visiting Neurologist at Greenslopes Private Hospital and Staff Neurologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane.
He has completed a two year fellowship in hyperacute stroke with an extensive experience in the field.Dr Sheikh is passionate about all areas of clinical neurology with a keen focus on:
• Botulinum toxin treatment for various neurological conditions such as craniofacial pain syndromes (e.g., chronic migraine, trigeminal neuralgia and post-herpetic neuralgia), cervical and limb dystonias, tremor and spasticity.
• Neurophysiology (nerve conduction studies and electromyography for nerve and muscle disorders)
• Headache disorders including migraine
• He has a wide experience in Hyperacute Stroke and other various cerebrovascular diseases. He is also avidly interested in movement disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease and tremor), epilepsy and multiple sclerosis.
