Dr Annemarie van Heuven is a neurologist with an interest in nerve conduction studies and EMG. She completed her medical degree in The Netherlands, graduating in 2006, after which she worked in the Neurology department of Slotervaart Hospital in Amsterdam for a year.
In 2008 she moved to Brisbane and completed her advanced training in Brisbane, Townsville, and Sydney. This included an electrophysiology fellowship at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney in 2016, with a focus on nerve conduction studies and needle EMG for a range of neuromuscular disorders, including peripheral neuropathy, nerve entrapment, myopathy, myasthenia gravis and nerve conduction studies in preparation for nerve transfers in trauma patients.
She is interested in seeing patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including headache, movement disorders, stroke, neuromuscular disorders, or any other neurological problems, as well as patients needing NCS / EMG.
