Dr Rumal Jayalath is an approachable, enthusiastic and caring neurosurgeon who graduated from James Cook University with first class honours. She undertook her medical training in Queensland, including Greenslopes Private Hospital. Her Neurosurgical training was completed at leading centres around Australia. She is actively involved in training young surgeons in her role at Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and is very sympathetic to the particular challenges faced by colleagues in rural centres. Dr Jayalath’s practice encompasses all aspects of general neurosurgery and spine surgery, with a interest in cerebrovascular surgery and brain tumours.
