Dr Ishani is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and has completed a RANZCOG Certificate of Women’s Health. Dr Ishani’s love for working in women’s health was sparked during her first hospital-based rotation in obstetrics and gynaecology as a medical student.
Dr Ishani’s career pathway to becoming a specialist included medical and surgical studies at Griffith University in Brisbane and the Gold Coast. She has trained and worked at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Redland Hospital in Brisbane, as well as at hospitals in Rockhampton, Townsville and Bundaberg. She finalised her RANZCOG training at Gold Coast University Hospital in 2023.
She loves that obstetrics and gynaecology offer a satisfying balance between medicine and surgery.
