Dr Kate Campbell is a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with interests in spinal surgery. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Sydney, Dr Campbell moved north to attend the University of Queensland where
she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2001. In 2012 she completed her orthopaedic training, having worked in both metropolitan and regional hospitals throughout Queensland. Dr Campbell completed a 6 month Spine Surgery Fellowship at The Royal Brisbane and Women Hospital before moving to Canada to complete a 12 month Spine Surgery Fellowship at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta.
Since returning to Australia in mid-2014, Dr Campbell has been working full time at The Princess Alexandra Hospital as an Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in spines. Dr Campbell has expertise in a broad range of spinal conditions. She uses the latest technology and medical advances to provide the best possible care for her patients.
Dr Campbell will spend time to understand the patients problem, and together, find a solution for their pain. Often this does not include complex surgery or prolonged recovery times. If surgery is required, Dr Campbell aims to provide solutions for lasting pain relief and improved quality of life. Dr Campbell is also available for WorkCover consultations.
When Dr Campbell is not in the operating room, she enjoys spending time with her son, along with the family dog and horses. She is a keen equestrian and regularly plays polo.
