Dr Jared Weston is an Otolaryngologist - head and neck surgeon, skilled in both adult and paediatric Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery. He has an interest in sinus surgery as well as treating patients with dental concerns requiring expert ENT care.
Dr Weston first received a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry with honours from the University of Queensland. He practiced as a Dentist in Brisbane and Sydney before studying a postgraduate Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Notre Dame, Sydney. After completing his specialist surgical training in Queensland Dr Weston was awarded his Fellowships in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Weston works publicly at Logan Hospital and is a Senior Lecturer with the University of Queensland. He is actively involved in the education and training of medical students, junior doctors and surgical trainees. He has published and presented research at both a national and international level.
Dr Weston is known for his gentle nature, clear communication and easy to understand explanations of complex conditions and procedures. He is passionate about developing collaborative relationships with General Practitioners, Dentists and other Specialists in the care of their patients.
Dr Weston has an interest in providing health care to regional and remote communities. This work has involved trips to the Pacific Islands, Far North Queensland with the “Deadly Ears” outreach in addition to aid work in Uganda, Kenya as well as Bangladesh.
Jared lives in Brisbane with his wife and three children. He enjoys swimming, surfing, basketball and mastering the perfect flat white.
