Interests: Glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, renal transplantation, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.

Dr Gavin Lee is a consultant nephrologist who completed his specialist training in 2016. Born and raised in Brisbane, he graduated from the University of Queensland in 2005 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and 2009 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Dr Lee underwent his internship and basic physician training in various hospitals throughout Queensland but has remained primarily in Brisbane for his nephrology advanced training, with two years at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and one year at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, the largest renal transplantation unit in the Southern Hemisphere.

His interests within nephrology include glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome and renal transplantation. Other areas of interests include chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. He has had research involvement in the topics of lupus nephritis and anticoagulation in end-stage kidney disease. Dr Lee has had significant involvement in both medical student and physician trainee teaching, holding the title of Associate Lecturer with the University of Queensland.
