Dr Kylie Gallagher studied a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at The University of Queensland prior to completing a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), with first class honours at Griffiths University, where she was awarded the University Medal. Dr Kylie Gallagher completed urological training in Queensland, she went on to a fellowship year at Imperial College of London, Charing Cross Hospital. The fellowship was accredited by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Gallagher’s fellowship focused on kidney and bladder cancers, laparoscopic, open and additional robotic surgical training. Dr Gallagher surgical interests are:
- renal cancer,
- bladder cancer,
- kidney stones,
- hydronephrosis,
- male lower urinary tract symptoms, BPH,
- robotic surgery
- general urology, and
- other urological cancers – prostate, testicular
Dr Gallagher consults privately from UroMed South Brisbane, Mater Private Clinic, South Brisbane; Bayside Medical Specialists at Capalaba, as well as a public post at The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, Metro South Health. Dr Gallagher performs surgery at Greenslopes Private Hospital, Mater Private and St Andrew’s War memorial Hospital.
Dr Gallagher holds registration as a specialist surgeon in urology with the Medical Board of Australia and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is an active member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand and the European Association of Urology.
Dr Gallagher provides training to urological registrars and junior doctors at Metro South Health.
