Anzac Day at Greenslopes Private Hospital

The community is invited to attend Greenslopes Private Hospital’s traditional ANZAC Day Dawn Service at 5:30am on Thursday 25 April 2019.

We are honoured to welcome this year’s guest speaker, Australian Special Forces Veteran Tim Thomas.

Mr Thomas, who served Australia with deployments to Afghanistan and East Timor, is determined to raise awareness to better support our service men and women after they leave the defence force and transition to civilian life.

His passion was borne after personally experiencing his own battles when leaving the defence force. Mr Thomas works closely with the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation at Greenslopes Private Hospital to continue to highlight the need for this support.

Seating at the dawn service

Limited seating is available for those who are unable to stand during the dawn service at Greenslopes Private Hospital. If you are planning to attend and require seating or wheelchair access, could you please phone 07 3394 7395 prior to Wednesday April 24th 2019.

Community breakfast

The dawn service will be followed by our Gunfire Breakfast. Representatives from the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation will be attending to gratefully accept any donations to support their life-changing medical research. Their work aims to address major health issues impacting our current and former service personnel.

Thank you

Our ANZAC Day Dawn Service and Gunfire Breakfast are made possible by hospital staff, volunteers, their family and friends, choir students and teachers from Somerville House, and cadets and teachers through Anglican Church Grammar School.
