Brisbane’s first 24 hour Pharmacy opens at Greenslopes Private Hospital

The new 24 hr Ramsay Pharmacy was officially opened at Greenslopes Private Hospital today.

Hospital CEO, Mr Tim Daniel welcomed guests including Councillor Ian McKenzie, Councillor for Holland Park Ward, Mr Paul Fitzmaurice, Group Chief Commercial Manager - Ramsay Health Care Global and Mr Peter Giannopoulos, CEO Ramsay Pharmacy Group.

Mr Daniel highlighted the significant benefits that the 24 hour pharmacy model will provide to our patients, visitors, staff as well as our local community.

“We continually strive to meet and hopefully exceed the private health care experience our patients receive here at Greenslopes and undoubtedly our new Ramsay Pharmacy will greatly assist in the achievement of this objective,” Mr Daniel said. 

Ramsay Pharmacy is a full range pharmacy offering professional service and professional advice 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Ramsay Pharmacy Group CEO Mr Peter Giannopoulos said Greenslopes was in a prime location being just 5km from the CBD.

“Our pharmacy will provide valuable support to all the patients in Greenslopes Private Hospital, to the 2,500 Ramsay staff within the hospital, the local Greenslopes community and the Greater Brisbane area,” said Mr Giannopoulos.

“It gives people the ability to access a pharmacist around the clock, for a range of ailments and medication needs,” he said.

The Pharmacy will also provide for the hospital’s onsite Emergency Centre which also operates 24hours a day, 7 days a week.”
